Despite being launched in December, Blockcap plans to have an operational hashrate of 3.5 EH / s by 2022.
Blockcap, one of the largest Bitcoin mining companies in North America, has added more than 12,000 additional Bitmain Antminer S19 to its inventory.
The firm currently expects to deploy more than 40,000 Bitcoin mining devices in the fourth quarter and anticipates an operational hashrate of approximately 3.5 exahash or EH / s per second. This figure is roughly 2% of BTC’s currently total hashrate of 171.3 EH / s.
Blockcap is currently mining about six BTC every day.
The firm was founded in December 2020 by veterans of major blockchain hosting company Core Scientific, and Blockcap claimed to have consolidated assets from five existing mining companies.
After launch with approximately 13,000 Antminer S19 and 500 upgraded S17, Blockcap added another 10,000 S19 to its inventory in mid-February before purchasing 8,400 next-generation mining devices from Canaan earlier this month. Blockcap estimates that mining hardware is worth $ 270 million in secondary markets.
