PS1 News: THE MOST LOVED IMAGE WAS NOT AS FLAT AS YOU THOUGHT
Those of us who had a PS1 know how much fun it was to start playing, and we don’t just say it because of the catalog, since it was quite an adventure to stare at the screen to see if the game could load.
When the official console logo appeared, we knew everything had gone well, so we could relax and get ready for an afternoon of fun.
What few knew is that all this time the PS1 lyrics had a secret, and after more than 20 years a small detail came to light that is worth revisiting.
Even if you are not old enough to remember the startup sequence of the Sony console, you have surely seen it in a meme, since the appearance of the letters P and S indicated that the game had loaded correctly.
Thanks to technology, a group of users managed to explore in depth the composition of this PS1 logo, and they discovered that it was never a two-dimensional image.
Some videos posted on social networks show how using Unreal Engine you can rotate this element, which is a 3D modeling with peculiar angles.

Although it is an almost insignificant detail, many users were surprised by the discovery, since they thought that it was a two-dimensional image.
It should be noted that this detail is actually not that impressive, since PS1 tried to take advantage of the 3D graphics, and what better place to put this detail than in its own logo.
Over the years the iconic home screen changed, leading to a much more stylized sequence that we can see on PS5.
