Speaking to Autoexpress about his upcoming plans, Peugeot CEO Jean-Phillipe Imparato said that the Peugeot 508 PSE is just the beginning, making statements appealing to performance enthusiasts. Stating that the company aims to expand its product range, Imparato added that every new model that will come will have a high performance version.

Expressing that they want to make a big launch every year in every region of the world, Imparato said, “We will send a message to the market starting with 508 PSE in 2021. We will show that we do not want the transition to electricity to be boring, even if we reduce our emission values ​​below 50 grams, we will create fun models.” found in the description.

The Peugeot 508 PSE, mentioned by Imparato, has a 1.6-liter turbo engine, two electric motors positioned on the front and rear axles and an 11.5 kWh battery pack. Producing 360 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque in total, the system transmits its power to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission. Completing 0-100 km / h acceleration in 5.2 seconds and accelerating from 80 to 120 km / h in just 3 seconds, the maximum speed of the car is limited to 250 km / h.
