We recently shared the system powered by the APU, which is thought to belong to the new generation consoles. The new Mini-ITX motherboard contains the processor that powers the consoles.
Recently, the motherboard at the heart of the interesting APU system offered by Chinese vendors was displayed.
The shared images are from the Mini-ITX motherboard based on AMD’s 4700S processor. In the system powered by an 8 core 16 thread 4700S processor, the processor is supported with a 12 MB cache.
Although it is thought that the chip, which can increase to 4.0 GHz, is the APU that powers the new generation consoles, let’s underline that the iGPU side is closed. As a matter of fact, the motherboard does not have an interface that can be output from the integrated graphics unit.
Contrary to conventional motherboards, the solution does not have any memory slots, and 16 GB capacity GDDR6 type memory with helde soldered to the motherboard is included.
6 channels of audio, Ethernet ports, 4 USB 2.0 and 4 USB 3.0 interfaces are positioned on the motherboard, which allows the use of external graphics cards through the PCIe slot. There are only 2 SATA ports on the motherboard, which does not have an M.2 NVMe slot on the storage side.
A 5-phase VRM is positioned for the processor on the motherboard, which is powered by 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, while a 3-phase VRM is preferred for memory.
Finally, the motherboard is thought to be AMD’s way of evaluating for faulty console APUs on the iGPU side. There is no doubt that the model, which is not known whether it will be offered for sale or not, can be offered for sale by Chinese sellers.
