The red team’s PCIe standard-based technology found wide repercussions after the introduction of Ryzen 5000, followed by Intel and Nvidia to support the technology.
Smart Access Memory coming to Ryzen 3000
Following feedback from users, AMD announced that it will also offer Smart Access Memory support for users of Zen 2 architecture processors.
Although the red team does not share the hardware configuration used, Ryzen 3000 processors stated that when the Smart Access Memory is turned on, a performance increase of up to 16% can be experienced.
Finally, AMD’s move is not surprising, after Nvidia announced that the RTX 3060 can take advantage of the Resizable BAR on 400 series AM4 motherboards when used with Zen 3 architecture processors.
