American football champion Tom Brady launches an NFT platform called Autograph.
What is the purpose of the platform?
The launch is scheduled for this spring, CNN reported on Tuesday. Autograph will bring together the biggest brands and names in sports, entertainment, fashion and pop culture to create NFTs, according to its website.
NFTs are unique digital tokens tied to digital content. They are based on blockchain technology that proves their originality and ownership.
Autograph wants to make NFTs mainstream by launching a “360 degree” platform to create, market, buy and trade NFTs.
It is reported that the platform will also produce NFTs, including Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl winner.
The autograph was created earlier this year by Brady and partners Dillon Rosenblatt, Josh Payne, and Richard Rosenblatt. According to the web page, the initiative has raised some funding.
Autograph’s consultants include high-profile executives from Spotify, entertainment company Live Nation, sports betting company DraftKings, and video sharing site Cameo.
