US technology giant Apple has launched a special line of watches called the Pride Edition for Apple Watch to support the LGBTI community and draw attention to gender equality.
Apple has launched new strap models called Pride Edition, designed for Apple Watch, the leader of the smartwatch market. The cords, released to support the LGBTI community, come in two different models.
One of the cords has the colors of the rainbow flag, which symbolizes the LGBTI community. The other draws attention as the redesigned version of the Nike sports cord with rainbow colors. Apple says that the new bands have a great association with the Pride watch face, which recently came with the watchOS 6.2.5 update.
Special smartwatch to support LGBTI individuals from Apple
As of today, both new Pride Edition Apple Watch bands are on sale at Apple.com, the Apple Store app and open Apple stores.
Made of high performance special fluoroelastomer material, Nike Sports Band provides more air to the ankle with the holes opened by pressure molding method. The smooth and dense material not only wraps your wrist in a very stylish way, but also makes you feel comfortable.
Pride Edition Sports Band is produced by combining colored fluoroelastomer strips one by one. Then, the strips are made on the machine by die cutting and pressure molding. This process, which makes minor differences in the wavy rainbow design, ensures that each cord has a unique design. In addition, the brand new pin mechanism on the buckle allows you to easily sit on your wrist.
Apple announced it is proud to support more than 150 organizations worldwide promoting gender equality, including the Pride Edition series, GLSEN, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, Gender Spectrum, The National Center for Transgender Equality and ILGA World. You can check out the Pride Edition series.
