Apple started producing iPhone 11 at the Foxconn factory in India. This development, confirmed by the Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, can make consumers in India smile especially.
Indian Trade and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced that US-based technology giant Apple has begun production of iPhone 11 at the Foxconn factory in India. This development shows that Apple may soon become a less dependent company in China on production.
In fact, Apple was already producing iPhone XR in India. However, now that the production of iPhone 11 has also started, it shows that Apple can load more production in India in the future.
Apple’s increase in phone production in India has a significant impact on the company’s market share. Because Apple provides a 22 percent tax advantage for local customers on smartphones manufactured in India. This directly affects iPhone sales in South Asia. If we consider that India is the second largest smartphone market after China with more than 1 billion mobile users, we can say that the increase in iPhone sales here also affects Apple’s global market share.
Although Apple will initially only offer the products manufactured in India to Indian customers, sales of iPhone 11s produced in India will start in the future. It is not known whether there will be any price differences in the global sales of these models.
