Apple was in court with a small company called Prepear, which used the pear logo. According to the latest information, Apple and Prepear have decided to resolve the dispute outside of court.
Apple took the application called Prepear, which used the pear logo, to court in recent months. Let us remind you that Prepear, which allows mobile users to prepare a grocery list, was developed by a small company with only five employees.
It took legal action on the grounds that the giant application from Cupertino imitated its own logo, that the pear-shaped logo would reduce the distinctive feature of the Apple logo, and that consumers would confuse the services of Apple and Prepear.
The hearing is postponed for 30 days
According to the latest information, Apple and Prepear have decided to resolve their dispute outside of court. The hearing was requested to be suspended for 30 days. The parties are currently negotiating actively between them to resolve the issue.
Making a statement after Apple applied to the court, Prepear said, “It is terrifying to enter a legal war with one of the world’s largest, richest and most powerful companies.”
