Taiwanese technology giant ASUS is preparing to release the sequel of the ROG Phone 3, which it launched last year.
ASUS announced the gaming-focused ROG Phone 3 in July 2020. According to new information, the Taiwanese manufacturer is preparing to release a continuation model of the device that it launched last year. ROG Phone 5 has been officially confirmed.
The teaser posted on the official ASUS page on the Chinese social network Weibo confirms that the company will soon introduce the ROG Phone 5. ASUS will skip the fourth model, as the number 4 evokes death in Far Eastern countries (Tetraphobia).
May be introduced next month
The ASUS ROG Phone 5 is expected to be introduced in March this year. However, there is no information about the exact launch date. The soon-to-be player phone has appeared on the web pages of many certification bodies including TENAA, 3C, MIIT.
The device will likely have a similar design to the ROG Phone 3. It will also come with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 144 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 888 processor, up to 16 GB of RAM, a triple rear camera system and a 6,000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
