Jack Mallers, founder of the Bitcoin initiative Zap, announced yesterday that Zap has switched to the public beta version of the Strike product, which allows anyone in the world to buy Bitcoin in US dollars by direct bank transfer.
Mallers, who is also a Lightning Network developer, also announced to CoinDesk that Zap Inc. is participating in Visa’s Fast Track program. Mallers said, “Visa works with Fast Track program members to help them take place in the market in the most efficient way possible and provides them with every step of the way.” said. He also said that this year’s goal is to remove a Strike card for consumer app users and integrate Visa Direct into the consumer app.
This year, Visa is working hard with crypto companies. For example, the recent shopping rewards application Fold and the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase cooperate with Visa. Both companies offer Visa cards associated with cryptocurrencies. Fold is also a Fast Track member.
