BTS shocked South Korean netizens after being confirmed to be giving a speech at the same event as Barack Obama.
As previously reported, BTS members will appear in a special broadcast titled ‘Dear Class of 2020’.
‘Dear Class of 2020’ is an event held by YouTube to celebrate the graduation ceremony virtually for all school children in 2020 who could not attend the graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There will be various influential figures from around the world giving their speeches at this event, including BTS members, then former US President Barack Obama, Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, former State Secretary Condoleezza Rice, former Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, CEO Alphabet and Google Sundar Pichai, and activist Malala Yousafzai.
In addition to giving speeches, BTS members will also present their stage performances virtually with Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Chloe x Halle, Zendaya, then YouTuber Jackie Aina, AsapSCIENCE, Dude Perfect, Mr. Kate, and The Try Guys.
Knowing the news, many Korean netizens claimed to be proud and amazed at the achievements achieved by BTS. Like their comments on theqoo forum:
