Electornic Arts’s Codemasters acquisition, which was agreed in the past months, has officially ended. EA acquired Codemasters for $ 1.2 billion.

Electronic Arts, one of the biggest companies in the gaming world, bought Codemasters, with which it has reached an agreement in recent months.

Founded in 1986 by the brothers David and Richard Darling and known for their racing games, Codemasters is now a studio within Electronic Arts. As explained earlier, Electronic Arts costs $ 1.2 billion to purchase Codemasters.

As a result of this acquisition, we will see new experiences in racing games as Electornic Arts explained earlier. Although no official statement has been made, Codemasters is also expected to get their hands on the Need for Speed series owned by Electronic Arts, which has not been able to deliver for many years.

We will soon begin to see the improvements this acquisition will bring. Currently, the biggest expectation is that Codemasters games will be added to EA Play, that is, to be added to Xbox Game Pass at the same time. There is no official release yet, but it will likely be added soon.
