We’ve seen a lot of hints about the exterior design of the new Fabia, which is scheduled to be unveiled on May 4, but the company finally has a drawing of the interior.

The next-generation 2021 Skoda Fabia has not yet been officially introduced, but we’ve learned a lot about the compact hatchback, thanks to the Czech manufacturer’s hints and tips. This time, the company shared a drawing of the new Fabia’s console design.

When we look at the shared drawing, we can see that the console design in the 2021 Skoda Fabia is similar to that of the Octavia. Moreover, the design of the two-spoke steering wheel is exactly the same as its big brother. Just behind this steering wheel we see the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster as mentioned earlier. At the center of the console is the multimedia screen, which comes as standard with 6.8 inches or can be optionally increased to 9.2 inches.

In the new Fabia, the air vents in the center of the console are designed as angular to look in harmony with the design in this area. The air vents on the sides have a round shape. When we look at the climate controls, we see physical keys, including rotary knobs. In the center console, there is a gap right in front of the gear lever. In the upper packages, there will be a wireless smartphone charging unit in this area. In addition, the traditional handbrake lever continues to exist.

We know that the 2021 Skoda Fabia will be built on the MQB-A0 platform. This will allow the compact model to have larger dimensions compared to its predecessor, while providing a more spacious living space and an additional 50 liters of luggage space. In the new Fabia, where the storage space in the cabin has also been increased, a total of 43 Simply Clever solutions, 12 of which are completely new, will be presented. On the other hand, as a result of this platform, driving assistants such as the semi-autonomous driving system Travel Assist will find a place in the new Fabia.

The engine options to be offered in the new generation Fabia were previously announced. The range, which includes five different options, includes an entry-level three-cylinder 1.0 MPI naturally occurring engine. This engine, which has two different power outputs, 65 hp and 80 hp, produces 90 Nm of torque and can be preferred with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Two different 1.0-liter TSI engine options appear at the next level. The first of these three-cylinder turbo engines produces 95 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque. The second option produces 110 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. While the first option can only be preferred with a 5-speed manual transmission, the more powerful can be purchased with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG.

In the top tier of the 2021 Skoda Fabia, there is a four-cylinder 1.5 TSI unit. This engine, which produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, can only be preferred with a 7-speed DSG. As you can see, diesel is not included in the options.

The compact model will be officially introduced on May 4 and will be available later this year.
