The new coronavirus pandemic has demanded the suspension of several TV programs around the world. After Japan decreed a state of emergency in the country, Toei Animation announced a break from showing new episodes of the anime One Piece and Digimon Adventure (2020).
The statement was released through the Japanese studio’s official Twitter account. In the note, it justifies the decision for safety measures to prevent the spread of the disease, in addition to recommending that people stay safe and healthy.

“Due to the emergency state in Japan caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we considered security measures to prevent the spread and decided to pause the broadcast of‘ One Piece ’and our new‘ Digimon Adventure ’series. We will release new information soon. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this period. Please stay safe and healthy. ”
Work by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece has already had 929 episodes released. The titles of his next three had already been revealed. However, now, they no longer have a transmission deadline in Japan.
Digimon Adventure (2020) is the classic series reboot, which brings an updated story of digital monsters and their characters. In all, he has only had three episodes aired so far.
