New capacity options added to Crucial X6
Drawing attention with Crucial’s compact chassis, the X6 SSD family has been enriched with 500 GB and 4 TB capacity options. For SSDs that benefit from the Phison U17 controller, which acts as a bridge between the NAND Flash-USB interface, Crucial stated that it uses a 96 layer 3D TLC NAND Flash chip in the 4 TB option.
While it is possible to see 800 MB / s in sequential reading operations in the 4 TB capacity option, this value drops to 540 MB / s at the 500 GB capacity level.
Among the SSDs with a 3-year warranty using the USB Type-C format USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) interface, the 4 TB capacity model is listed at $ 489.95, while the 500 GB X6 has a $ 69.95 label.
