Binance, Coinbase and Bitrue have transferred 61 million XRP tokens, according to data released by Whale Alert. The network found that Coinbase transferred 20,000,000 XRP tokens (worth $ 11,290,856) to Binance, and also moved 31 million tokens to an unknown wallet. Likewise, Bitrue transferred 10,000,000 XRP.
Similarly, about four days ago, anonymous whales moved $ 99.3 million worth of XRP between unknown wallets. Coinbase had previously suspended XRP trading on its platform, following a lawsuit between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) when Ripple Labs was accused of offering an unregistered asset.
Currently, the exchange has suspended traders in the US from trading XRP on the platform. However, users with Coinbase wallets can still hold, withdraw and transfer XRP tokens. Similarly, most US-based exchanges have suspended XRP trading.
In the midst of the crisis, XRP is currently ranked 7th, according to CoinMarketCap, and stood around $ 0.57 for almost a week. Since the year started, the token has not been able to surpass the $ 0.71 price level.
In the past 24 hours, XRP showed some optimism when the former SEC chief defended the cryptocurrency and described the case as a mistake. Due to the strength of the cryptocurrency, Fxstreet predicted that the price could rise by 15% and pointed out that the resistance ahead is weak.
However, XRP fans believe that the price remained so high even during the Ripple Labs crisis, revealing optimism about the coin. A few weeks ago, it was reported that the case against Ripple would end soon, but today it is doubtful whether both sides have reached an agreement.
