Days Gone News: FOR DEACON, THE BAD GRADES WERE FAULT OF ANOTHER FACTOR
Days Gone did not receive such good reviews on its launch, since the specialized critics awarded an average of 7.1 although the fans evaluated it with a higher score.
With the launch of this game on PC the scores rose a bit more, and it is not surprising, since it received several improvements.
Recently the issue about the poor reception of Days Gone came up again, and this time, one of the game’s actors accused some media of reviewing the title without having finished it.
NOT ALL CRITICS DONE DAYS GONE
Sam Witwer, who lent his voice to Deacon St John, recently participated in a question and answer session via Reddit, and in one of the interventions he was asked about the reviews.
The actor shared one of his experiences, and mentioned that many media did not end Days Gone when reviewing it, causing them not to see important moments.
According to Sam, he realized this by not seeing comments on the horde mechanics and other important points that appear near the end of the campaign.
´Today I read a review / publication that will remain anonymous. In it, the mechanics of the horde, the centerpiece of the game, is not mentioned once. NOT EVEN ONE. There were other things, but with that it was clear that this critic played the game for a few hours and then wrote the review. He didn’t complete it. ‘
Rather than attack the press for this issue, the Days Gone actor is going against the deadlines established by distributors for the publication of the same.
Sam Witwer commented that this title was designed to start very slowly, which made it difficult for those who reviewed it to see the best moments in time, and therefore, for his opinion to be negative.
The launch of this title on PC allowed it to have a reassessment, and we hope that in the future they will give it its well-deserved sequel.
