DDR5 memory available to the end consumer is starting to hit the market towards the end of 2021. After the Team Group, different manufacturers are expected to take steps for the new standard.
We learned that DDR5 standard memory will be used in corporate areas. It seems that DDR5 RAMs that will reach the end consumer will take their place in the market sooner than we expected. Team Group, one of the memory manufacturers, announced that it has completed all developments and developed the first engineering example of consumer-grade DDR5 memory.
Team Group is currently working to produce the first DDR5 RAMs with 16 GB capacity, 4800 MHz frequency and 1.1 voltage for a single module. The company also collaborates with motherboard manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and ASRock. R&D teams work together during the process of verification tests of new DRAMs.
With the new standard, we will be able to see values such as 4800 MHz with much lower voltage values. According to rumors, Team Group’s DDR5 memory will begin to hit the market in the third quarter of 2021. In the future, we can expect frequencies of 5200 MHz and even higher without overclocking.
On the other hand, it is said that consumers will not need to enter the BIOS for frequency adjustment. Users will be able to start their systems and experience high performance without making any extra settings.
