Gamers will be able to track down the Dark Adventurer in magnificent HD resolution from Friday, April 9 at 17:00.
Blizzard Entertainment announced today that the single-player technical alpha process for Diablo II: Resurrected desktop version will begin on Friday, April 9 at 17:00 UTC. Gamers will be following the trail of Dark Adventurer this time in gorgeous HD resolution.
Diablos fans, who will be chosen randomly among the limited number of players who have registered with the Tech Alpha so far, will have the chance to participate in the alpha process in the coming days. Similarly, a limited number of press members and content producers will have the opportunity to enter the game from the day before, Thursday, April 8. Teknik Alfa will end at 20:00 on Monday, April 12.
Players who qualify for the Technical Alpha will be able to choose one of 3 different classes and play the first two Chapters (Act) of the game from start to finish. Fight in the holy Monastery and face the Daughter of Affliction Andariel to avenge the Rogue, the armed melee master, the brutal Barbarian (Barbarian), the nimble and swift Amazon (Amazon) or the lord of enchantments (Sorceress). Then set out to the mysterious east and cross the desolate deserts of Lut Gholein to settle accounts with Duriel, the Lord of Torment. Throughout the Alpha, there is no upper level limit, so all participants will be able to continue to strengthen their characters until the end of the Technical Alpha.
Diablo II: Resurrected comes with stunning 4K resolution updated visuals and physics-based full 3D display support, as well as remastered Dolby Surround 7.1 sounds. While all elements of the game are still in development throughout the Technical Alpha, Blizzard emphasizes that they look forward to any feedback from players. Some of the features that will be tested in this process include support for automatic gold collection, shared chests and controls between characters.
Although this test focuses solely on the single player experience of Diablo II: Resurrected, the developers state that they are aware that the multiplayer Diablo II is one of the most important features of the game and that they will perform a test for the multiplayer experience in the coming months.
