LG Electronics (LG) announced the launch of the global music and entertainment platform TIDAL on the LG Smart TV platform in more than 50 countries and regions around the world. Compatible with 2018-2021 series LG TV models with webOS 4.0 and higher versions, the TIDAL app provides a high-quality, lossless sound experience through the Hi-Fi layer of the platform and a new space for your unique music enjoyment with Dolby Atmos® support, as well as high-resolution It offers videos, movies, documentaries and more.

TIDAL is committed to delivering sound quality that can satisfy the most demanding music enthusiasts and audiophiles. Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) audio reproduces all the details and dynamism of an original recording, and TIDAL allows its members to connect more closely with their favorite songs and artists by hearing the tracks exactly the way the artist intended.

Users can enjoy more than 70 million tracks in all genres and 250,000 high-quality videos (all ad-free), as well as useful features such as unlimited skip, offline plans, artist and radio stations search, intuitive exploration. Users also have access to thousands of playlists created by the platforms’ experienced editorial team, music industry experts, journalists and artists themselves.

Dolby Atmos support through TIDAL’s Hi-Fi layer further enhances the music experience. When paired with a Dolby Atmos-enabled audio device, such as one of LG’s latest Dolby Atmos-enabled TVs or one of its newest sound bars, Dolby Atmos goes beyond the ordinary listening experience to immerse listeners deeper into their favorite music.

With the launch, LG users will be able to enjoy a growing library of songs and albums powered by Dolby Atmos.
