Apple has joined forces with Bitcoin payment processor BitPay. BitPay Mastercard holders can now add their crypto-funded cards as a payment method on Apple Pay. The crypto company said Google and Samsung are in turn.
Apple could increase its earnings with this move
According to the latest report published by RBC Capital Market, Apple’s start to support crypto payments in its wallet could significantly increase its earnings. The multinational company chose BitPay to start the project instead of running the project in-house first.
BitPay operates as the largest crypto payment processor, allowing buyers and sellers to alternatively send or receive cryptocurrency payments or fiat payments.
The partnership will allow Apple to measure demand for crypto payments among customers.
Google and Samsung on the way
BitPay Card; It can also be funded using Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether and four dollar stablecoins, including USDC, GUSD, PAX and BUSD. BitPay Prepaid Mastercard is issued only to eligible US citizens.
BitPay CEO stated that Google and Samsung Pay will soon add support for BitPay Card. MasterCard has recently announced that it will support direct cryptocurrency payments in 2021.
