It was said that Apple would be included in the foldable phone trend for a while. However, it was not known what path Apple would follow, which was inexperienced in this regard. A new report emerging today revealed that Apple could get help from LG Display in the development of the upcoming foldable iPhone model. Apparently, the South Korean tech giant will supply flexible OLED panels to the old one.
According to the DigiTimes report; LG may be the supplier of OLED panels to be found in the foldable iPhone. While this is not officially confirmed for now, previous reports have hinted that Samsung is the only supplier of foldable panels for the Cupertino-based giant. So, it looks like both companies will supply screens for the upcoming foldable screen iPhone. However, at this point, it seems that a greater burden will fall on LG.
Recently, it was rumored that the iPhone 13 series using LTPS displays would be coming. LG, which is experienced in LTPS panels, will thus establish a relationship with Apple.
Going back to foldable iPhones, it is not yet known when these models will come. However, estimates show the year 2023. It is said that it expects Apple to sit in this area and is testing new technologies. You know Apple. Something does not enter that area unless it is fully seated. We hope that this understanding of Apple, which is three years behind its competitors in fast charging, will change in the near future.
