Edson Arantes do Nascimento, popularly known as Pelé, will now be honored using non-exchangeable tokens (NFT) for his outstanding work on the football field.
According to the latest news, a new Pelé NFT collection will be released on the Ethernity Chain platform on May 2. The unique digital collections were created by Kingsletter, an Australian concept artist and Visual Lab. It should be noted that Pelé’s physical legacy cards are the most valuable trading cards in the world. NFT hopes to gain a similar reputation as traditional cards in the football industry.
Following the initial batch release, the platform plans to launch another Pelé NFT card series sometime later. In particular, 90% of NFT sales will go to the Pelé Foundation, a world-class charity dedicated to empowering and educating children who struggle with poverty.
Nick Rose Ntertsas, CEO and founder of Ethernity, stated that they are focused on building the most comprehensive NFT collection library, and Pelé’s NFTs are an important milestone for the platform.
