Samsung, which has a criminal record for updating, got rid of this bad reputation last year. But apparently the nightmare is starting again. Galaxy S21 is currently experiencing regional difficulties in updating. Because, interestingly, Samsung offered the phone of the X region to the Y region. Well what does it mean.

There is a wave in the Android phone market called CSC, or customer software customization. Thanks to CSC, manufacturers can send updates regionally. However, Samsung made a big mistake by setting the CSC label on the Galaxy S21 to EUX, which is valid in the European Union, instead of BTU. That’s why all Galaxy S21 owners in some regions are not getting updates and cannot use Samsung Pay due to the regional lock.

There is an interesting way to fix this problem and update the phone. In order to update their phones, S21 owners in Europe must first remove the SIM card, then reset and re-install the phone. Before inserting the SIM card, they can install the update and insert the SIM card. However, this process is not very reasonable as it will be valid for every update.

Samsung is expected to take quick action for this problem. Samsung will likely have to negotiate with states for phones with the wrong CSC label in European regions.
