At the CES 2021 event, Qualcomm introduced its new generation fingerprint reader. This scanner, which is 50 percent faster than the previous generation, attracted attention with its ability to scan 70 percent larger area in terms of area. It turned out that this technology, which will level up the under-screen fingerprint reader, will be used in the Galaxy S21 family.

Regardless of the Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888 chipset, this new technology will be used in all S21s, so you will be able to swipe your fingers. This technology, which will work at the same physical fingerprint scanner speed and security, will also be used in flagship models that will be introduced in the rest of 2021.

The under-screen fingerprint reader is unfortunately not very stable and fast in the middle segment. Probably in 2021, this solution of Qualcomm will gradually come to the middle segment. Currently, this technology is available on OLED screen Android phones. But stubbornly, Apple doesn’t want to revert to fingerprints. Let’s see if Apple will use this security system in addition to Face ID with the iPhone 13 family?
