CAMERA CHANGE BRINGS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE FOR GOD OF WAR
When we thought that we had already seen everything about God of War, the community of modders came up with a new vision for the game developed by Sony Santa Monica.
The story of Kratos and his son Atreus was one of the most impressive of 2018, and all fans of the series are eager to see what the next title, Ragnarök, holds for us.
But while we wait, there are still ways to capitalize on the game that served as a soft reboot for the God of War franchise, with an older, retired Kratos from the Hellenic world trying to live in peace.
User Speclizer shared on YouTube a video of a mod that he made of God of War, in which he changes the traditional perspective from third to first person.
THE MOD REFLECTS WHAT IS IMPORTANT IN THE OUTLOOK FOR KRATOS
The cinematics in God of War have been a vital point for the series since its birth, since in them we can learn important elements of the story and appreciate the interaction between characters.
One might think that the change to first person would not have much of an impact on the way we receive the narrative, but with the Speclizer mod we realize that something is definitely wrong with the dialogues by showing them in this perspective.
The video includes some of the most important cinematics of the game, but with the change of view that puts us in the eyes of either Kratos, Atreus and even Mimir just when the Spartan cuts off his head.
However, having a first-person view for cinematics makes us miss certain details that can be seen in normal perspective.
We would have liked to see the camera change for the gameplay, but Speclizer left us wanting it and did not give a more detailed description about the video, so we do not know if he will continue working on this mod or will leave it in what he shared.
