A new feature has been added to Google’s popular map application to reduce accidents at level crossings. Google Maps now shows railway crossings.
Search giant Google continues to add new features to its popular map application. The company has released an extremely useful update for Google Maps that will reduce crashes at railway crossings.
Some users noticed that the app started showing railroad crossings on the route while navigating. There is also a warning on the screen that you may experience a possible delay when you approach the level crossing on the route you have chosen.
Google has not officially announced the feature yet. However, it has been activated for some users. The update is being rolled out gradually. In the meantime, it should be noted that the Waze application has offered a similar feature since August last year.
