GTA V News: CAN ROCKSTAR MAKE IT LOOK THE SAME GOOD?
GTA V is one of the most outstanding games of the generation of the PS3 and Xbox 360, it is also one of the most solid and played of the PS4 and Xbox One and we need to see it in the just started generation of consoles.
What can happen now with the game? Well, users have already reached out and in a spectacular way that makes us wonder if Rockstar can do something comparable. The Intel ISL group is the one behind this project and how well it is creating things.
You see, Intel ISL specializes in artificial intelligence research work and their project is called ‘photorealism enhancement’ which they experiment with a ‘machine learning’ tool that makes computer generated images look more photorealistic.
The tool works by examining computer images, then comparing them to real-life photos, and then enhancing the computer images to achieve a photorealistic effect. While there are GTA V mods that enhance the game’s visuals, this process could be the future.
Just watch the ISL explanatory video to better understand what they are doing with GTA V.
THIS PRESENTATION OF GTA V WORKS IN A STABLE MODE
One of the highlights of this project that tries to give GTA V a new identity lies in its stability, as many mods cause the game to crash and not work properly.
Other tools make the mod images have some bugs and the textures may look a bit weird, but what ISL does with GTA V is something quite remarkable and we should not lose sight of it.
Moving this to the full game sounds like a chore and limited to a single platform which is PC. We would have to wait for the version of GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X to compare both presentations.
