Huawei has released the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta update for its major models. This version supports Android apps.
Moving away from the Android ecosystem after the US sanctions, Huawei started looking for a solution in its own operating system. In this process that started with Harmony OS, the new version of the operating system was announced. Today, the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta update for major Huawei phones is on sale.
According to reports, Harmony OS will be available for all Huawei phones next year. Developers with the Huawei P40 or Mate 30 series will be able to apply to participate in the test from today. Huawei P40, P40 Pro, Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro and MatePad Pro users who have submitted the application will be able to test the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta.
The SP2DEVC00E2R5P90 operating system update, which will be offered over OTA and is 4.04 GB, will come with some innovations. The new operating system, which will be built on EMUI 11, will support Android applications as well as its own applications. So you can understand that Huawei alone does not make an independent system. It is setting up an operating system like the aggregate computer where Android applications will also run.
There are many more years ahead of the Harmony OS operating system that could never be an iOS or Android. This operating system, which can also be used for IoT and other smart devices, will also make a great contribution to creating the ecosystem that Huawei wants so much. However, as we said, this operating system is still in its infancy. Gathering will probably find it comfortable for 2-3 years.
