Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz heavily criticized the XRP community in a recent interview. The name closely followed by the crypto industry used an interesting analogy for the XRP community:

“Over the years, the XRP army has built a real community of people who really want to believe in it… you can tell them anything. Like the 9/11 conspiracy theories. There’s a little bit of that in the crypto industry. Sometimes they insist on not seeing the facts. ”

The billionaire also said that this community reminded him of former President Donald Trump fans and British football fans who continue to deny the legitimacy of the 2020 elections:

“This community reminds me a bit of Trump supporters, and they were cheated in the election, thinking Joe Biden was president. You can make these people believe anything. They believe in the most unlikely theories. I don’t think these people are very interested in crypto money. ”

Besides, Novogratz claimed that he did not like XRP at all because there are many tokens owned by the company:

“I do not like the XRP token from the beginning because a significant portion of this token is held by only a small fraction. In addition, the SEC is currently taking a stand against Ripple’s CEO, its founder, and the company itself. ”

After Novogratz questioned the XRP rally, token supporters began attacking him on Twitter and urged the billionaire to sell his stake in Ripple. Novogratz admitted that this was a “painful trade.” He stated that according to the amount of XRP the company has, it should be worth $ 60 billion, but Ripple’s equity is traded at about $ 3 billion:

“So, something is wrong.”
