Huawei P50 and P50 Pro, whose promotion dates have been postponed three times, are really coming this time. The certification process for the P50 has begun. Here are the latest developments…
Huawei P50 and P50 Pro finally appeared at the end of the tunnel. The phones have been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China. This development supports the claims that the P50 series will be introduced on July 29.
In addition to this development, some sources close to Huawei report that the company has started promotional activities for the P50 series in physical stores. In the P50 series, which is planned to be sold in August, one of the Huawei Frebuds 4 or Watch GT 3 series watches is expected to be gifted in pre-order sales.
The P50 series, whose components could not be completed due to the US sanctions, will appear with 4G models in the first place. The 4G versions of the P50 and 50 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 4G processor. In the 5G versions of the phones, which will be introduced a few months later, we will see the Kirin 9000 processor.
The Huawei P50 series will exhibit radical changes on the design side when compared to the P40 models. The first of these is the location of the front camera. The front camera(s) placed on the left side of the screen in the P40 series will this time be placed in the center of the screen.
The detail that makes the P50 and P50 Pro different will be the rear camera designs. Here, three or four cameras will be used, depending on the model, in two large holes in the upper left part. All of the models in the series will have a 1/1.18 inch 50-megapixel IMX707Y sensor with Sony’s RYYB pixel arrangement and OIS support in the main camera. It should be noted that the phone series will debut with the version of HarmonyOS 2.0.
