The event, which will take place on June 2, may be a turning point for Huawei. The first devices with HarmonyOS operating system will be showcased at the event to be held in China. On the other hand, we will also see Huawei’s HarmonyOS plans and which devices will be upgraded to the new version. It’s not over, another surprise of Huawei at this event will be a new device with Snapdragon processor. It seems that Huawei has started producing devices with Snapdragon processors.
Huawei has caught its eye on Snapdragon Processors
The second generation MatePad Pro tablet series has been on the agenda of the mobile world for a while. The tablet will be released with two different screen options, 12.6 and 10.8 inches. Hours before the event, the retail box of the 10.8-inch tablet was leaked, and it was understood that the tablet would be powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor. The 12.6-inch version of the tablet will use the Kirin 9000 processor with a 5nm manufacturing process.
It’s surprising that Huawei is using a Qualcomm processor in the smaller version of the tablet, but it’s a right move. Of course, this does not mean that Google applications and services will take place. Qualcomm’s application in November last year was accepted and a license was granted for the famous chip brand to sell 4G processors to Huawei.
This development also means that the HarmonyOS operating system has officially adopted Qualcomm processors. This is good news for other manufacturers who want to use the HarmonyOS operating system.
New Devices With Snapdragon Processors On The Way
On the other hand, some developments show that Huawei is preparing to announce 4G versions of smartphones such as Mate 40, Mate X2 and Nova 8. In this case, it will not be a surprise to see 4G supported Snapdragon processors on the mentioned phones. It is also among the information that the 4G version of the Snapdragon 888 processor will be used in the Huawei P50 series. As expected, Kirin 9000 will be used in 5G models in the series.
