Indian police seized nearly $ 1.2 million of Bitcoin from a hacker to hack the government and other websites.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil confirmed that the Bitcoin seized from a hacker with the surname Srikrishna using the alias “Shreeki” was confiscated.

Indian authorities arrested Srikrishna on November 18, alleging that four of the attacks used malware and hacked government portals, three bitcoin exchanges and 10 poker sites with this move.

Citing the ANI news agency, the report said that Srikrishna admitted to hacking the Karnataka government’s e-procurement website by 2019.

Bengaluru, also known as Bangalore, is the center of India’s information technology industry.
