Hardware lovers are eagerly awaiting Rocket Lake after new architecture news. However, Intel thinks the high frequency 10/20 Comet Lake chip could be a good idea, too.
Rocket Lake processors that will come with Cypress Cove cores have so far noticed a slight decrease in operating frequency compared to Comet Lake. In addition, the company will drop from 10 cores to 8 cores in upper segment solutions in Rocket Lake.
Core i9-10900KS Special Edition seen on the horizon
It seems that Intel Skylake will offer the high frequency advantage of architecture cores alongside Rocket Lake processors. According to the resulting list, the blue team is preparing a 3rd Special Edition model after the Core i7-8086K and Core i9-9900KS.
The chip, which is expected to come with a higher boost frequency compared to the Core i9-10900K, can also see higher levels with all its cores. In addition, it is noteworthy that the 10 core 20 thread Core i9 solution emerged 6-7 weeks before Rocket Lake.
