The phone industry continues to stand despite the coronavirus epidemic. Counterpoint Research, the research firm, came out today with another report highlighting Apple’s surprising last three months in the smartphone market of 2020. According to the report; iPhone 12 and Galaxy S20 FE models are almost sold in America.
The Cupertino-based technology giant was able to easily dominate the entire global mobile industry in the first months of the iPhone 12 release. Despite its high price, the phone that sold nothing, took the title of being the best selling phone between October and December.
However, Apple experienced a 6 percent decline in the US mobile phone market compared to the previous year. The reason for this is the high price and late launch of Pro models, as well as the coronavirus pandemic.
In addition to the iPhone 12, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G managed to keep the US market alive in the 4th quarter of 2020. However, according to analysis, this popularity of Samsung will be short-lived. Because it is said that there will be a big boom in iPhone sales in the first quarter of 2021.
Samsung’s job, which will not give much to the expected with the Galaxy S21 family, is more difficult in the global market. Because in the global market, Chinese manufacturers offer better phones than the Galaxy S21 at a more affordable price.
