Apple from Cupertino pressed the button for iPhone sales. After the pandemic, the company has already started to accelerate the production of its new models.
Apple had to reduce the production figures of the iPhone 12 last year, as many countries in the world were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, vaccines are being implemented around the world and many countries are easing restrictions. Apple increased iPhone production in the process and expects to ship approximately 223 million by the end of the year, up 12.3 percent year on year. iPhone sales will strike fear into its competitors.
According to a new report, Apple is expected to call its upcoming smartphone the iPhone 12s series. The entire series will feature the updated Apple A15 processor, which will be built on TSMC’s 5nm+ process node, flexible AMOLED panels with LTPO display technology, and a smaller notch. Pro models will come with 120Hz refresh rate support. The main and mini models will again have a 60 Hz screen. At this point, we can say that Apple will score an own goal.
The camera systems of the entire series will also receive an upgrade, and each model will feature the new sensor shift technology introduced with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The ultra-wide sensors in the Pro models will feature a new 6P lens and will also support autofocus. LiDAR sensors will continue to be available only on Pro models.
iPhone sales will increase by the end of 2021 thanks to 5G
Apple is trying to increase the market share of its iPhones in key European and American markets. 5G networks are rolling out more widely this year, and Apple wants to ensure its smartphones are the primary market shareholders in this segment. Another factor for the expected increase in production is the disruption of Huawei’s phone business. If Apple can fill this gap before Chinese companies, it will smile with its new models.
