HIDEO KOJIMA News: ALTHOUGH THE HIDEO KOJIMA GAME FOR XBOX IS NOT 100% CONFIRMED, THERE ARE THOSE WHO ASK HIM TO CANCEL IT AND ACCUSE HIM OF BETRAYING SONY
This week, it was revealed that Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear, and more recently, Death Stranding, will possibly be working on a game exclusive to Xbox systems.
That is what information from a well-known medium suggests. Now, for a long time, several gamers have seen Kojima as a creative focused more than anything on Sony consoles. His best known and most popular franchises have been on these platforms.
HIDEO KOJIMA ACCUSED OF TRAITOR FOR SUPPORTING XBOX
Death Stranding itself, although on PC, falls into that category. It was expected that the next title developed by this designer would also be for the PS5.
That has caused annoyance to some gamers, who thought it was a sure thing that they would never create something unique to Microsoft systems. To such an extent that one of them made a request on Change.org, to pressure him into not going ahead with developing it.
The petition mentions that Hideo Kojima has “betrayed his loyal fans,” and that he is “blinded by greed.” He also argues that “not everyone has a good enough internet to stream games.”
The latter is in relation to the Xbox cloud-based service. It is also mentioned that some do not have to buy an Xbox Series X | S or build a PC. This last argument makes this series of criticisms much more laughable.
FOR NOW NOTHING IS CONFIRMED, BUT THEY ALREADY COMPLAIN
It is for the same reason that there is no lack of those who have taken this request as a joke, or in that case, who think that only a true fanboy would complain in such a way. Just over 200 people have signed the petition, some of them mocking the creator of it.
It is an extremely painful matter. But what is this Kojima game about? There are only rumors about it. But I know that it could be a horror title and that it will be an episodic one.
It is also rumored that Sony showed no interest in the project, so it stopped funding it. However, Microsoft’s Xbox division thought otherwise, and decided to support Hideo Kojima.
None of this has been proven so far. However, Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is on its way to PS5, and the game is not seen to reach other home consoles. Kojima cannot be seen to deviate much from Sony’s systems.
