The National Security Service of Ukraine announced that they have caught hacker Sanix, who seized the sensitive information of millions of people by e-mail of 773 million people. Sanix’s equipment with 2 terabytes of data was also confiscated.

The personal information of millions of people who use the internet are stored on the servers of the websites. This information can sometimes be captured by malicious hackers. These malicious hackers can abuse the situation by sharing or selling your information. The National Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) announced today that 773 million people have caught a hacker who has seized e-mail.

This hacker, known as Sanix, managed to obtain the passwords of 21 million people as well as millions of people’s e-mail. SSU officials claimed that the data seized as 87 GB were only some of the information Sanix had and that there were 7 more databases, including financial information for people living in Europe and North America.

Equipment containing 2 terabytes of information was seized by the authorities:
There is very sensitive information among those captured by Sanix. Email passwords, debit card related information, crypto wallets and PayPal accounts are just some of the sensitive information stolen by this hacker. Equipment containing 2 terabytes of data was seized in a raid by the authorities on Sanix’s home.

According to some sources, the information Sanix held was outdated and was the information of those who were compromised due to previous data breaches. It was also revealed that Sanix sold information that could jeopardize access to universities and the California government. If this kind of important information was taken over by a hacker, it disturbed many internet users.
