The new Grand Cherokee L, which is the three-row seat version of the Grand Cherokee, draws attention with its design similar to the Grand Wagoneer concept introduced last year.

US-based SUV brand Jeep welcomed the year 2021 by removing the cover on the new Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The new Grand Cherokee L will be sold as a 7-seater version of the Grand Cherokee, as you can see from its name.

The design of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is dominated by an image we are familiar with last year. Especially the fine lighting in the front section and the wide grille consisting of 7 sections remind us of the Grand Wagoneer concept. Depending on the preferred equipment level, there are also LED daytime running lights in the lower part of the bumper.

When we look from the side, we can clearly see the length of the new Grand Cherokee L. The axle distance of the 7-seater SUV, whose total length was announced as 5204 mm, was also announced as 3091 mm. At the rear, there is only an air of thin taillights, chrome details and angular exhaust outlets.

The interior of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has also switched to a completely new design concept. The renewed console hosts an 8.4-inch or optional 10.1-inch touch screen. Both options offer the UConnect 5 infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play support.

Just in front of the driver, a 10.3-inch digital instrument panel is offered as standard. The screen, which can be adjusted according to the driver’s request, can show many different information such as the vehicle’s night vision system. There is 484 liters of luggage space behind the third row seats. When these seats are folded, the volume increases to 1380 liters.

We are familiar with the options under the hood of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, which is announced to be available in four different versions called Ladero, Limited, Overland and Summit in the USA. The Pentastar 3.6 liter V6 unit, which produces 290 horsepower and 348 Nm of torque, is available at the entry level. 5.7-liter Hemi V8 unit that produces 357 horsepower and 528 Nm of torque can be preferred. In both options, an 8-speed automatic transmission is standard, while the four-wheel drive system is offered as an option.

Among the other striking features of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the adaptive suspension system called Quadra-Lift. Providing 210 mm ground clearance in standard mode, the system increases this height by 40 mm in Offroad 1 mode and 60 mm in Offroad 2 mode. In addition, there is also the Aero mode, which reduces the ground clearance of the vehicle by 20 mm in normal settings.

The price of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has not been announced yet.
