The Lenovo Legion gamer smartphone gained a lot of information thanks to a report on the website XDA Developers, which claims to have spent months investigating the device until receiving text and video materials to prove the existence and some of the main features of the device.
The main novelty about the model is in the design, as you can see by the photos captured from advertising materials not yet released. The device has an elegant look, typical of devices in this segment, with a stylized rear. There are two USB-C connectors for charging: one on the bottom and one on the side, for those who use the device for games horizontally.
This common position for mobile games also reveals another Legion surprise: the retractable front camera that, instead of jumping on top of the device, reveals itself on the side. This means that the screen does not have any type of notch or hole, dedicating all the space for the display of the content, in addition to not disturbing any gambling sessions.
The two rear sensors are in a position lower than the conventional, in a likely choice of design from the manufacturer. In addition, the model does not appear to have the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The Lenovo Legion will also have a system called uEngine, which is a two-axis vibration engine, in addition to a “3D tower-like” structure for cooling and two “fully symmetrical” 65mm speakers.
Power to play
The technical specifications obtained by XDA Developers are as follows:
- Operating system ZUI 12 (Android 10)
- Screen: LCD or OLED with 144 Hz refresh rate and Full HD + resolution (2340 × 1080 pixels)
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865
- Rear cameras: 64 MP (main sensor) and 16 MP (wide lens)
- Front camera: 20 MP
The internal storage will have UFS 3.0 technology, while the RAM will be in the PDDR5 standard. The figures were not obtained by the report.
Previously, information that it would have a 90W load had already been disclosed in Lenovo’s own advertising material. The battery must be 5000 mAh, made up of two power supply cells. For now, there is no release date planned for the model, which should initially be sold only in the Chinese market.
