Up to 30 thousand mini LED modules, qurantal points and oxide TFT technology are brought together in the new television models that will be presented under the LG QNED TV series.
At the CES 2021 fair, which will be held virtually due to the pandemic, LG will also introduce its first mini LED integrated televisions. Televisions under the LG QNED TV series go up to 86 inches.
What will LG QNED TV offer?
LG QNED TV brings together many technologies that have become known recently. QNED technology, which has the Quantum Dot Nanorod LED expansion, uses oxide TFT and quantum dots. Unlike the ink jet method, nanorod LEDs are sprayed into the pixel area. The pixels are then aligned with electrical signals. QNED can achieve much more impressive contrast ratios, brightness levels and response times.
On the other hand, although it is an LCD-based technology, it includes mini LED backlighting. Depending on the size, up to 2500 local lighting zones and up to 30 thousand mini LED backlighting will be included in the televisions.
LG QNED TV series will be offered in sizes up to 86 inches. The series, which will be supported with 10 models in the first place, will have 4K and 8K resolution options. Televisions are expected to be released after CES 2021.
