One Piece News: A NEW LINE OF FIGURES BASED ON ONE PIECE WILL BE UNVEILED SOON, WHICH TURNS MONKEY D. LUFFY AND COMPANY INTO CATS
With so many years on, One Piece has expanded beyond Eiichiro Oda’s manga. To such a degree, that not long after it began to be published he got his anime, which is just as successful.
It was from there that it began to expand into many allusive products. It is difficult to calculate how much has been published over more than three decades, and that only if we refer to the figures, they are almost uncountable. Now, a new series is on the way.
THERE ARE MANY FIGURES BASED ON ONE PIECE
However, this time they are a bit ‘different’ than usual. This is due to the fact that they belong to a line known as Mega Cat Project.
As their name suggests, they are shaped like plump cats, which are dressed in part of the clothing, equipment and some physical characteristics of the characters they represent. A fan of the series shared a preview image of one of the figures, and it is Monkey D. Luffy.
He is called Meowkey D. Luffy, and from what it seems, he will be represented with a calico cat, which are the kittens that he mixes in his white, black and orange fur.
The traditional straw hat of the aspiring King of the Pirates could not miss, and it seems that he will also be wearing some of his clothes. Unfortunately, the image is on its back. So we will be left with the doubt about what this new statuette based on One Piece looks like.
LUFFY AND HIS NAKAMA WILL HAVE FIGURES FROM MEGA CAT PROJECT
Considering the characters of Eiichiro Oda, the number of different models is enormous. But they are likely to be limited to the most popular ones.
To give you an idea of what the Mega Cat Project figurines look like, we leave you an example, but based on Sailor Moon. At least so they have an idea of how the One Piece character traits could be exploited. It’s just a matter of using some imagination.
Mega Cat Project is a line manufactured by the MegaHouse company, and so far, the figures are sold in packages that include eight of them. They are relatively small as they are only 30mm tall.
The joint price is around five to almost six thousand yen (just over a thousand pesos), depending on the online trade. More details of this quirky and attractive collection are sure to be revealed in the weeks to come.
