The mini Mars Helicopter, which NASA has been working on for a long time, lands on the red planet next month.
NASA, which is frequently brought to the agenda with its researches on the surface of Mars, as you know, has been working on the Mars Helicopter project for a while. It was announced that the helicopter, which will investigate life forms on the planet’s surface, will land on Mars on February 18, 2021.
The Perseverance spacecraft, which will land on Mars in February 2021, will also bring a mini helicopter called Ingenuity. This mini helicopter, specially designed for the Martian atmosphere, will be in communication with the Perseverance spacecraft.
This helicopter, produced as a result of long-lasting studies in NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, also hosts 1.8 kilograms of weight and 14 cubic centimeters of volume. In addition, this vehicle, which draws attention with its durable structure, can produce energy thanks to solar cells. The vehicle, which has an internal heater to warm up in cold Mars nights, can easily adapt to the variable Mars atmosphere thanks to this feature.
