MediaTek Dimensity 2000 News; Good news came for MediaTek’s new chipset, MediaTek Dimensity 2000. Affordable monsters will be with us next year.
MediaTek introduced the Dimensity 1200 chipset earlier this year, paving the way for affordable performance beasts. Now, MediaTek has rolled up its sleeves for the Dimensity 2000 chipset. According to a new rumor from Leaskster Digital Chatstation, MediaTek is working on its flagship chip that will use TSMC’s 4nm process in the first half of next year.
MediaTek Dimensity 2000 features have already been announced
Although previous rumors said that it will use a 5 nm process, it is said that this chip will be produced with 4nm. The company is now expected to launch 4nm chipsets next year that will power a range of phones. Earlier rumors had revealed that Dimensity 2000 will use ARM Cortex X2, ARM Cortex-A710 CPU along with the recently introduced ARM Mali G710 GPU. These rumors will probably turn out to be true.
TSMC is said to be preparing to supply 3nm chips to Apple in the second half of 2022. However, TSMC plans to start producing 4nm chips in a few months. Compared to the previous generation, TSMC’s new 3nm process chip will have a 15 percent performance increase while also increasing efficiency by 30 percent. These chips are expected to be ready for use in the first quarter of 2022.
Recent rumors have revealed that the successor to Qualcomm’s SM8450 or the Waipio codenamed Snapdragon 888 will use a 4nm process and have a Qualcomm X65 5G modem. Usually, Qualcomm introduces its flagship chips in December, which will power devices that will be released starting March next year. For MediaTek, this could be an advantage. Last minute changes can be made in the Dimensity 2000, which is expected to dethrone the Snapdragon 888.
