Made in the 6nm process
According to recent reports, the model number of one of the upcoming MediaTek chips is said to be MT6893. An unknown chipset code named “Alps” was seen in AnTuTu comparisons last month. The chipset, codenamed Alps, is stated to be the upcoming MT6893. The leaked information reveals that the new chipset was produced in the 6nm process.
The Antutu listing revealed that MediaTek MT6893 is an eight-core processor with 4 Cortex-A78 and 4 Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset was found to have a clock speed of 3GHz. The list also revealed that the chipset will come with Mali-G77 GPU, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage support.
“Alps” scored 622,409 points in AnTuTu tests. At Geekbench, the same chipset as the MT6893 model number scored 4108 in single-core tests and 11,204 in multi-core tests. MT6893 is expected to be called Dimensity 2000.
It is thought that new chipsets with 5G connection support will be added to the Dimensity 700 and Dimensity 800 series at the launch event.
