According to 91 Mobiles, a successor to the Microsoft Surface Headphone could be launched soon. The vehicle discovered the novelty in a registration made on the Bluetooth SIG certification website on Thursday (30), in which the device appears under the number 1919. The publication also revealed some alleged specifications of the model.
Among the main updates, there would be support for Bluetooth 5.0 connection and Qualcomm AptX codec (responsible for transmitting HD audio wirelessly). Other novelties would be the expansion of the battery capacity from 18 to 20 hours, in addition to a change in the design of the noise canceling control of the Microsoft Surface headphone.
Unlike the 2018 generation, in which this was done by means of a rotating disc embedded in the shells, the 2020 generation would have physical buttons, divided into three adjustment levels. There would also be a function to manually enable commands via voice assistants.
Although Microsoft has not released a forecast for the Surface headphone, the 91 Mobiles speculates that it will be announced soon, during the Build 2020 online conference, scheduled for May 19-21.
