Motorola has not been in the premium smartphone market since 2017, when it launched the Moto Z2 Force with Snapdragon 835. On Wednesday (22), this hiatus is finally over: the company will present the Motorola Edge line, which will bring the latest chip Qualcomm and support for 5G.
The “e-vento” of launch of the new premium smartphones from Motorola will occur from 13h, by the time of Brasilia. On the occasion, Motorola will provide a content hub to present the brand’s new flagships.

The company also launched a website dedicated to the event to gather details about the new cell phones. For now, the online address allows to mark the revelation of devices in online calendars like Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar.
Design unveiled before launch
While the smartphone reveal event only happens this afternoon, the leaks have already shown what Motorola’s new top-of-the-line devices should look like. According to speculation, the company will present the Motorola Edge and Edge + models, both with Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm’s most advanced chip currently, and support for 5G connection.
Evan Blass, who is famous for bringing information about smartphones ahead of time, published photos of the two phones before the launch. While the Edge model will have a camera system with up to 64 MP, the Plus edition will bet on a sensor of 108 MP.
The images also show that the smartphone display will take part of the edges of the devices. In the case of the Motorola Edge +, which will have 6.7 inches, almost the entire side should be replaced with a screen.
Smartphone specifications should also include 90 Hz screen frequency, up to 12 GB of RAM, 5,000 mAh battery and 256 GB for storage. In addition, the products can feature Bluetooth 5.1 and, surprisingly, maintain a dedicated connection for audio.
