Motorola Ibiza will be the company’s new 5G powered smartphone. Smartphone maker made a strong entrance to 2021 with the Motorola Edge S model. Moreover, it achieved excellent sales figures with the Edge S model. The smartphone manufacturer, who wants to continue this success, continues to appeal to users in every segment. This time the company’s affordable entry-level new smartphone model appeared on Geekbench.
Last year, the company entered the upper segment in the 5G supported smartphone category with the Motorola Edge series. Later, it continued to offer mid-segment devices by introducing the Moto G 5G and Moto G 5G Plus models. Now, it will present its new products to the entry segment with the “Ibiza” model.
The device appeared on Geekbench with model number XT2137. The device, which has the code name Ibiza, will get its power from the Snapdragon 480 chipset. Thus, for the first time, Motorola will include the Snapdragon 480 chipset in a smartphone model. Qualcomm also introduced the Snapdragon 480 chipset as the best-priced chipset for the 5G segment. Entry-level 5G support is currently only available for Vivo Y31S and OPPO A93 5G smartphone models.
The Snapdragon 480 chipset has Kryo 460 performance cores. The chipset has A55 cores that can offer 1.8 GHz speed as well as Cortex-A76 that can offer 2.0 GHz. In the testing phase, this CPU scores 2,466 points in a single core and 6,223 points in a multi-core. However, it should be noted that these tests are carried out on GeekBench 4. In other words, different figures will be obtained in the tests to be made on GeekBench 5.
