In the United States, the adaptation of the famous Disney Mulan film will be prohibited for children under 13 years of age who are not accompanied by an adult.

Many Disney films have been re-adapted to the cinema. But for the first time, one of them will be banned under the age of 13 in the United States . It’s Mulan!

When we are children, we do not perceive evil. Or even violence! Besides, we don’t understand the hidden messages in Disney movies either! With hindsight, the moral of the stories that we loved so much ends up jumping out at us.

In the animated film Mulan , released in 1998, the beautiful Chinese girl wants to get away from the codes of society. In other words, she refuses to play the role of a devoted woman. Daughter of a soldier, the latter wants to take this same path! When the Huns invade the country, the young woman listens only to her courage. She then becomes a real warrior, as was her now seriously ill father!

In the adaptation of this Disney, Mulan then promises real combat scenes in real shots. In fact, the Motion Picture Association of America does not want to take risks! In order not to offend the sensitivity of children, it announces its PG-13 classification in the United States.

MULAN: VERY VIOLENT COMBAT SCENES
Children under the age of 13 not accompanied by adults will not be able to attend the live-action remake of this Disney production ! But why ? Thus, the Motion Picture Association of America specifies that Mulan contains “sequences of violence”.

Besides, Mulan, embodied by actress Yifei Liu, will not be alone in fighting . Beside him, Jet Li will play the role of The Emperor. According to producer Jason Reed, the latter ” will not just sit on his throne reading scrolls in our film”. Thus, ” he will descend from his throne and join the fight. ”

In France, it is not yet known whether the film will be discouraged for children under 12 who are not accompanied by an adult. In any case, we already know its release. You can find Mulan on the big screen from March 25 !
